Post subject: The quest for Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the WIndseeker!

Hello Elders!

This weekend some of us on the Alliance side decided to head into Molten Core for a visit to Ragnaros. As it happens, we were lucky enough to see one of the two halves of the Bindings of the Windseeker - which leads up to the legendary sword Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker.

I got to loot the piece, and decided to put some effort in making it a valuable drop. So today, I got help of five other Elders and headed into Blackwing Lair - searching for the Elementium Ingots and the recipe for Enchanted Elementium Bars.
After a fantastic run with a one-shotted Nefarian (and a little help of the Auction House), I'm now up to five out of ten Enchanted Elementium Bars!

What's left now is of course the other five bars, the second half of the Bindings, and Ragnaros' Essence of the Firelord. If you happen to see an Elementium Ingot on the AH, I'm willing to pay 500-600 gold for each of them.

Wednesday the instances reset, so we have a new shot at all items needed! I hope we're lucky with the Bindings, cause that can take a while with a 3-4% drop chance :)

See you in-game!

Ting

Well, just one binding... we will have to schedule another MC run! Mind you, at Guild Level 11, we can afford to cruise for a bit *grin*

I just finished this week's run, which was a duo-effort with Naohe. While I found some nice warrior set items, the other Bindings did not show up.
I got to loot The Essence of the Firelord, so I did get one more quest item on the list.

All that's left until next wednesday is gathering more Hardened Elementium bars.

I dusted off my old paladin yesterday thinking, "Hmm, I wonder if I can solo MC?" and got all the way to the entrance before remembering you have to be in a raid.

So far the other half of the Bindings did not show up yet, despite trying every reset up till now. I do have the full 10 hardened elementium bars, so it's a matter of patience and a lot of Baron Geddons.

Garr did drop his half of the Bindings again, but unfortunately I already had those - and I was alone at the time, so no one else could take it.

Wow this all sounds very exciting! Good luck for Wednesday and if I happen to be around, let me know if there is any way in which I can help!
