A nice challenge which could be nice to integrate with a very strong RP story:

OMG.....I get an urge to try it out.

Unfortunately it'd probably have to be a Night Elf too due to the Shadowmelt, so I would probably have to do it on another server.......or I could delete my lvl 2 Tauren Druid and make a Nelf to join Elders on Alliance side - hmmmmm, tough decision as that would ruin my "The Sha'tar is only for Horde toons"-philosophy.

Edit: OOOhhh - just read sopmewhere that you can use target dummies for almost the same purpose. Maybe I'll just stay Tauren then :)
But I'd probably have to reroll anyways as the current toon probably has a few kills under his belt - but still. I could be able to stay on the Sha'tar on Horde side.

Good luck if you try it. I would never do it, I mean I wouldn't even be able to defend myself when I'm attacked, and it must take forever. Still, interesting story!

I feel tempted to try something like this, but how the hell did she reach level 5 to get enough to train her first professions? *scratches head*

...and without questing how do you get gold enough to afford your professions.....

I think that exploration would probably be way to go for levelling - but you would probably need to venture into dangerous territory. But if you reach a capital city you could take zeppelins to visit other low level areas for exploration.

What I find more of a challenge (if you want to really rough it and not bankroll from another toon) is to scrape together the coins for your first profession. Any thoughts - I'm thinking crates, barrels and other lootable stuff that spawns here and there throwing you a few coins by way of water and food that you can sell.

Those sound like logical steps. And done RP style, one could of course offer one's services to locals. Such as:

"G'day sir! May I polish yer shoes fer a few coin?"

*dumbfounded response*

*pause*

"Umm sure"

"Right-o! An' what a grand pair o' shoes ye have too!"

*spit polish polish polish spit spit polish polish*

"That'll be fifty-five copper luv... but fer ye I'll make it a round fifty!"

*holds out hand*

[trade window opens and shuts]

"Ooooooooh five gold sir! Why ye've left me speechless!" Thank ye so much!"

Yep its for real I have checked her stats in the armory http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/feathermoon/everbloom/statistic#128
Im going to give it a go. Though Im not sure how to go about it, I could go druid and rely on my cat form prowl or I could go Rogue and rely on stealth and pick pocketing as a way to make some extra coin.

I think I would miss the violence.

I made it to level 3 last night - did it by exploring Mulgore and Durotar.

Still don't have a copper in my pocket as I've decided to not quest.....which will make aquiring my professions somewhat more difficult - I'm still hoping to fall over a crate or barrel of food/water/linen to finance my first profession which will probably be herbalism as it doesn't require any tools (unlike mining or fishing).

If you want to lessen your stress, I suggest you allow yourself to complete the "Bring this to some", "Fetch this stuff from whoever/whatever" and similar quests.

I can even think of a few cooking and fishing quests in Orgrimmar which won't require you to kill anything and which don't even require you to equip a fishing rod.

I could of course try begging or RP'ing a menial job for some coins - but I have a feeling that Brukhorn is too proud to do stuff like that. Then he'd rather struggle until he can provide for himself......damn stubborn Tauren

Edit: Having spent some time on wowhead, I think I know where to camp out to maximize my chances of finding a crate or a barrel (or 2).......will probably be putting exploring a little on hold and start camping.

There should be a lot more secret chests and stuff with shineys in Azeroth! Just like any fantasy world should! But for some reason, most bad guys haven't invented the chest/crate yet, and carry everything on them in person

Carry around a sign saying "I (E)RP for money"

I am ashamed to admit that after spending many more hours than Vanija, I barely made it to level 3 and not a single copper. Didn't find any boxes, crates, chests or anything. I'm even more ashamed to admit that I re-rolled the druidess on my other account so that I could use the first one to give her a rocket ride around the continent. We flew through Mulgore, Desolace, Feralas, Silithus, Ungoro, Uldum and Tanaris and now she's level 6. She has 6 copper from selling the newbie clothes off her back and needs 4 more to start her first craft which will also be herbalism like Vanija.

Never has 4 copper had so much significance!

I've taken upon a new challenge. No deaths.

Level 85
- No kills
- No quests
- No deaths

This is to compensate for "cheating" by having my alt shuttle her around to get a good start.

Oh and about treasure boxes and crates, where the hell are they? In the old days you'd stumble on them all the time!

I'll never tell you my secret hunting grounds for crates and barrels.......muahahahahaha

But you'll probably catch me hanging out in Razor Hill a lot until I can finance Herbalism

Edit: Seems like Razor Hill is the place to be - found 2 Food Crates and a water barrel netting a profit of 6 copper. So now I have Herbalism AND clothes on my back

HA! I knew you had been up to something Brambline to hit 6 so fast lol.
Unfortunately Im with Brukhorn and am not going to beg for copper. Admittedly I did send a few bits to Crowmane to start him off, bags and a few gold coins but as soon as I have made the money I have spent so far back i will be returning it. I have to say I am happy to hear that fishing is an acceptable trade

Now a word from the wise (me) and from someone who has probably died (although I prefer the term incapacitated momentarily and dragged to safety to recover, (Me as well)) more times getting to level 3 than I have getting my main to lvl 78 that Gathering herbs is a pain in MulGore because the mobs seem to hang out within agro range of that patch of Peacebloom your after but keep plugging away and once you have explored the whole area and move to your next you will find flower picking a lot easier..

Now Im off to sell me erbs and buy a fishing rod.

Later Dudes and Peace.

Oh and "Lets be careful out there"
