Congratulations and a huge well done Brambline on getting Luyu the pacifist Druid to level 20.
You have set the benchmark, now there is no going back for any of us :-)

Well done you!

Thank you very much! But it's mostly thanks to playing from dawn till dusk on a few days and I've also explored all the ally and horde 1st, 2nd and 3rd level areas (for instance Elwynn forest > Redridge mountains > Duskwood) - that makes up for a lot of exploration! But I did do it by foot - or should I say paw. And the only help my alts have given is some cross server transfers for a herb and mining bag since at the time that she really needed them there were none on horde. But Luyu will pay for everything herself.

Some might see the logs from the guild bank of Luyu taking and moving stuff around, but I was just using her to "clean up" the bank and anything she took out, she's put up for sale and deposited the earnings back into the bank. But not taken a single item for herself.

Not that there is anything wrong with making use of the guild bank for the pacifists, this is just a personal goal I have for Luyu.

Have to admit I have looked in the guild bank but most if not all the stuff tete was too high a level for Crow. I am thinking about running a few dungeons with Loresh to get some low level kit. just something to boost his intellect and spirit so his mana lasts that bit longer wheb he is doing s panic heal run lol

Have you considered getting a couple of people together and generating some RP quests?

Your pacifist character meets another guildie in Orgrimmar and accepts a messenger quest to deliver an urgent package to a remote Horde outpost, in return for a useful green BoE from the guild bank. Or a tauren alchemist asks you to collect herbs needed for a potion vital to the health of a hunter's pet who suffered an injury fighting nasty Cataclysm spiders.

Similar to quests the game offers, but no XP. Might serve as a useful way to gain a little gear and a change of pace. Or is that too much like cheating?

Awesome idea Tobin, I'm all for it! We can do it with everybody, not just the pacifists. Heck, not only with the guildies, would be fun to send out some random passers-by for quests and rewarding them with something, just for RP's sake and getting to know people.

For the pacifist druids in 4.2:

Quote:
# Many crowd control abilities no longer cause creatures to attack players when they are cast.

This includes Hibernate and Entangling Roots.

Quote:
Entangling Roots and the equivalent spell triggered by Nature's Grasp no longer deal damage.

This may be of great help in getting around the place.

Not a "may be" Tobin, thus is a great help. Thank you for the heads up.

Note to self: Read the patch notes (lol)

Gah i am level 7 now , but doing it very slowly. No quests at all. No kills, and not being killed.

Escaped three !! times. I even remember them. Exploring from level 5 from a thief is rather easy. You can set invisibility and walk around. Don't know what the higher level characters will do and if they by any chance can see through. So i am taking no risk whatsoever here. :D And try to explore areas that are inline with my level.

Just do lots of herbing, mining etc. I also put my char in an inn whenever not logged, hence getting the double xp when feeling rested.

I have the feeling i am reliving my early days, and am far more aware of all the things that move around me

This is exactly what I feel too - I just couldn't put my finger on it until you phrased the words. Thank you :D

The strangeness of non-damaging crowd control.

It is a bit like that, when you think about it.
