Hi there.

I've actually been accepted into the guild already through an online conversation with Shalestina, but I thought it would be good to introduce myself here all the same.

I've been in WoW for over two years, most of that in a guild called the Dark Light. It's still a good place, with some good friends there, but the leader recently had to leave WoW, and it doesn't have quite the same oomph as it once did.

I like the social side to gaming. I enjoy good RP - which doesn't mean I take it too seriously. I've never been very competitve in the sense of having the best gear - I've never seriously raided - but I do compete to be the best dressed in/at any party.

In RL, I'm 44, male, recently a father. I'm a nurse, having worked in every imaginable setting over the years, but with heroin addicts for the last dozen years or so. For variety, I've fitted in spells working as a statistician and cooked in pubs and cafes.

I've written a piece for Guardian Comment about my current place of work: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2009/sep/18/drugs-heroin

I love history, food, drink and music. I've travelled widely with these things in mind, sometimes taking myself to out-of-the-way places like Kyrgyzstan or Iran.

I've lived in London, Bristol and Sydney, but I'm back in my hometown of Brighton (England) with two cats, a wife and baby Rowan.
