Post subject: Invitation to the Shatterspear raid
PostPosted: Fri Jul 10, 2009 11:07 am
OOC:

Hello, fellow Elders!

On Wednesday, July 15th 2009, Friends of the Shatterspear community will run several shorter 25-man PvE raids for the sole purpose of having fun. On menu are Sartharion, Archavon, Emalon and maybe even great dragon Malygos. The core of the raid -- around 10 to 15 players -- consists of ... um ... mature and non-elitist yet skilled raiders. They seek friendly players to fill the ranks.

It's my privilege and pleasure to invite members of The Elders who are interested in such things to this raid. If you're interested in having fun and relieving bad guys of their shinies, please contact Awlhis for an invite or more information. Alternatively, you can post in this thread if you wish to sign up or have any questions to ask.

Bear in mind that the raid is not meant to be a PuG. This invitation is for members for The Elders only; please do not share it outside the guild.

May spirits be with you,
Zamarane

Sounds like a nice change! Very gracious of you to offer us this possibility Zamarane. Since our guild is not a raiding guild and we obiviously don't have enough to really do our own raids, this is a wonderful chance to have the best of both worlds - enjoy the peace and relaxation of our guild, yet get the chance to do a serious raid for a change.

Count me in, I've started my summer holiday (sort of - will be working from home getting marketing material done for the game) so I'm slowly starting to get back into WoW mode.

I'll contact Awlhis and see what they say. Might be I am not skilled or geared up anough, we'll see.

Thanks again Zam!

You can count me in for this if there is still room.
I would love to take down these baddies with you guys. :)

OOC: Yay, another paladin! Moar blessings = more fun.

Awlhis or Mitali will invite you to the raid this afternoon. Please check your in-game calendar.

Raid will start at 19.30 server time with invites starting 30 minutes before. Master of ceremony is Awlhis, a very friendly troll hunter. He is available for any additional info you might have.

Currently, only 15 people are signed for the event -- holydays have taken their toll. I hope we will get few more players from Friends of the Shatterspear community. If not, Awlhis might opt for Flame Leviathan in heroic Ulduar -- this is a vehicle fight, but much better than Eregos in Oculus or Malygos in EoE.

OOC: It seems the raid is cancelled due to lack of people. My apologies to Brambline and Pancras who have signed up. I hope we will organise another one in near future when more people are online and less people are on holydays.

May spirits watch over you,
Zamarane
