Some very good posts here chaps, I love a sensible discussion :)

And Bram, your post does reassure me of the future of the Elders, I guess it's the uniqueness and maturity of the guild and it's members that it remains strong.

As I said, I haven't really got a fancy to get my raid head on again, but I do wish the team success and will be cheering on from the sidelines with my big Elders foam hand " Go Elders!!"

Syk, if I get the time over the weekend, and if it's ok with you I'll try to do a little etiquette guide to raiding, simple pointers and all that, it may be a little out of date but it might be of help to you

That would be awesome dude thanks very much, any other hints and tips you could throw my way would be appreciated.
Good to have some people on the team in a strictly advisory capacity, this is why i love The Elders, such a good combo of people :D

I'd be happy to join in the raiding team. I think I've just got my ilevel up to 356 ish.

In my old guild I did quite a bit of raiding and sometimes it was fun but eventually it all got a bit too competitive. I'm happy to bring any experience I have of this for the benefit of everyone and am confident that we'll run raids with a much more calm & friendly attitude.

However, be warned these raids aren't easy - they're not supposed to be. I don't mind helping with tactics if necessary. But it does help to have potions / flasks etc to try to squeeze as much out of our players as possible. I'm confident we could at least down a boss or two and that would be an achievement in itself.

And if we fail we'll die laughing.

Cheers,

Ama

I'm very interested in raiding again after very long break. I have my concerns as well because I've seen too many guilds to fall apart when they started casual raiding and it became hardcore in the end. But I believe that wouldn't happen to The Elders :)

I have my daughter and studies to take care of but I think I could raid once a week.

Excellent to have you all on board. No concerns about this becoming hardcore raiding, i doubt any of us have time/energy to become hardcore hehe.

For those joining the team could you pop your character name, class, role and item level (strictly so we can help you gear up, you won't be rejected if you have a low item level) on the document on the facebook elders page? If you dont have facebook just post the info on this thread and i can add your details, just so i know who is who and what they do :D

Will start arranging runs to get us all geared up starting the week beginning October 31st.
Keep an eye on the guild calander :D

I haven't read any of your blog posts because I never knew you wrote on.....could you post a link?

Go Elders.

I think this is a very good idea and i hope you will have alot of fun in the prosess. I dont think i can join in atm but ofc i support you all for having some fun against some bosses.

This is a very special guild as Bram said and i agree with every word she wrote^^

Having fun. support each other , helping. give space and room for every ones need without drama, emo jumping and all that negativity that can come along.

So just go ahead:)) I will cheer with you for every boss that licks the floor.

Sorry, Vanija, I should have made that clearer. I have a blog at http://www.holyconcentration.com where I write about things that interest me, or that I need to vent about. I haven't updated it for a few weeks now, but that's about to change.

I'd be interested in joining the raiding team. I have no-where to go with my Levl 85 at present and would like there to be some point in reaching that level

Be good to have you all on board :D

I am really happy and suprised to see how many people would like to try their hand at raiding. I agree with what Vixxis said, at level 85 there seems no where else to go.

If you could all just either pop your details on the facebook raid team document (or if you do not use facebook pop them on this thread) so i know who is who
If you could use this format that would be great : Character name - Class - Role - Item level

Once i have all the details and a little more time (most likely next week) i will start organising dungeon runs so we can help people gear up (not being a gear elitist but gear really will count in raids) then we can get down to the actual raiding :D

Atataka, feral druid, tank/dps, ilvl 360.

Currently I'm gemmed, enchanted and reforged for tanking, but I did fair damage on Magmaw the few tries I joined for. My offspec is healing, but my gear for that is not raid lvl at all.

Ok guys how does tuesday the 1st of November sound for heroic dungeon runs to start gearing people up? Maybe start at 7.30pm server time, multiple groups if more than 5 join :)
